The mission of love at the Center of my life. (Jn 3: 14-21)

We will like to share with you the Homily given by Fr. Stan, FDP, Seminary Formator - Montalban, in the Parish Church, Mother of Divine Providence in Payatas and in the Mission Area, Pedro Calungsod, former Nazareno Chapel, on this Sunday, March 11, 2018, ORIONINE MISSION SUNDAY.

A wise man said, "Every man is a missionary, now and forever, for good or for evil, whether he intends or designs it or not."
Today, eleventh of March, fourth Sunday of the Lent, we celebrate the Sunday of joy, Lætare. And we Orionine are also celebrating the "Orionine Mission Sunday", the Mission Day of the children of Don Orione. This, brethren, is for all of us, especially, for you. Because we are the beneficiaries of the Orionine mission. The theme of this day is, "The Mission at the Center of Orionine's life".
You all know who Don Orione is. He was called, "Apostle of Charity", the Apostle of love. For Saint Luigi Orione, charity is the ultimate expression of love. The Love of God as we have heard in the Gospel today is also called Charity. And Saint Luigi Orione believes that, 'Charity, and only Charity will save the world'.

Dapat ‘HOLYWEEN’ hindi ‘HALLOWEEN’

It should be now “Holyween’ not “Halloween’, this is what the Christians Communities, years now, in parishes and schools try to give as correction to this ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, and now American and English tradition of the ‘scaring evening’.
Though the word HALLOWEEN finds its origin in the eighteenth century’s Christian tradition, "holy evening" or "hallowed evening", the evening before the ‘All Hallows’ day’, it has lost it meaning to become the representation of evil faces. Many are the countries where, on the evening before the All Saints’ Day, people wear masks or any other kind of make-up to appear the scariest. It is, a TRICK-OR-TREAT that’s all one could say of it. It has nothing of holiness.

Don Orione Philippines: Diaconal Ordination in Montalban

Brother Ramon P. Rosin, FDP has been ordained, "not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many ... As a minister of the Word, of the altar, and of charity."
“If God calls you for a ministry, do not seek for it to be a job.” A simple word deep of sense which can summarize what we feasted on last October 21, 2017, at the Saint Luigi Orione Seminary, in Montalban, Philippines.
It was a colorful, and one could say, successful even, the Ordination of Bro. Ramon Padilla Rosin, FDP, to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate.
After almost five years, the Congregation of the Little Work of Divine Providence witnesses a new ordination in the Philippines. By the laying of hands and the consecration prayer of the Most Rev. Francisco De Leon, DD, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Antipolo, Bro. Ramon, now Rev. Ramon Rosin, FDP has joined the order of Deacons.
Have witnessed this event, the Vicar General of the Congregation and Delegate Superior of the Missionary Delegation, “Mother of the Church”, Rev. Father Oreste Ferrari, FDP. With him were the Coordinator of the Orionine Mission in the Philippines, Rev.  Father Anthony Eucinei de Souza, FDP, the confreres from Montalban, Payatas and Lucena, the parents, relatives and friends of Rev. Ramon, led by his father, the Little Missionary Sisters of Charity, and the Sacramentines Sisters, the Sisters of Charity of St. Anne (Del Pilar Sisters), the faithful from San Rafael Parish, led by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Noeh E. Elnar, Rev. Fr. Franco from Legazpi, the faithful from Mother of Divine Providence Parish, Payatas, the faithful from Lucena and many other acquaintances of Rev. Ramon and of the Seminary. More than a family feast, it was a beautiful show of the Orionine presence here in Montalban.
