Like a Rose, Trampled on the Ground.

In the paradigm of philosophy of religion, the process of crucifixion is defined to be the game of vulnerability. Jesus fulfilled the Father’s will and feel that He is so helpless hanging on the wood for criminals. This example outlives the Christian spirit most especially the promise of eternal life, involving a participation concept between God and man.

"I am crucified with Christ" was the theme of the Orionight on the 15th of October 2016. It was taken from the letter of Paul to the Galatian 2:23. The whole celebration made a memorable event that intact in the minds of all brothers and sisters. Though it was raining, it made no hindrance to postpone the event. The friends and youths of Don Orione made an effort to attend the celebration. Likewise, the seminary invited people coming from different chapels of St. Raphael Archangel Parish. They contribute much of the happiness which everyone experienced. They also took this event as an opportunity to gather and share the joy to one another.
The highlight of the event was the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist held at St. Luigi Orione Seminary Chapel. The chapel was filled with people consisting of children, mothers, youths, lays, seminarians, novices and brothers. The mass presided by Rev. Fr. Stanislas Achi, fdp and Rev. Fr. Justin Bamouni, fdp as the co-presider. After the mass, the seminarians had an exhibition through open dormitory. Everyone is allowed to roam inside the three dormitories namely, the dormitory of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, Fr. Angelo Fallardi and Fr. Luigi Piccoli. The dormitories are well prepared by seminarians with an add-on of creativity. Moreover, this is not just an exhibition; it is a contest and there are appointed judges. After the exhibition, everyone went to the refectory and shared some blessings for the dinner. When the dinner is over, everyone went to the hall where the seminarians, novices, brothers as well as the visitors showed and shared their genuine talents to one another.
The program began through an opening song prayer entitled "Above All", performed by Sem. Pablo Jordan.             The second to the last presentation was a cultural dance. It was a well charming performance made by the novices. On the other hand, the last presentation was an actual drama. It was presented by some of the 2nd year seminarians who are very good actors. They presented a very touching message which is related to the theme.

Each one carries the cross which Jesus Christ offered. The cross symbolizes our mission in life. It depends upon to every individual on how a person can manage to carry the cross until the promise of eternal glory. By a moment that one carries a cross, many temptation and storms in life comes in order to leave the cross and go.  But no matter what happen, one should hold on to the cross. In the end one will find love, forgiveness and compassion of Jesus Christ. The theme conveys to deliver the message is what truly the meaning of our mission in life- “I am crucified with Christ.”
