Mary for us is Mediatrix of
Divine Providence. To celebrate her is before all else, to pay a tribute, as
children, to our Mother, the one Saint Luigi Orione calls our “Heavenly
Foundress”.
The solemnity of Mary Mother of
Divine Providence is one of the greatest, to not say the first among all the feast
of our religious family.
Last November 20, was commemorated
in all the houses of our Congregation and by the Little Missionary Sisters of
Charity all over the world. In Montalban, in the Philippines, a side of the
anticipated feast in Payatas, in our Parish to her dedicated, Mary Mother of Divine
Providence was celebrated as well in the Saint Luigi Orione Seminary.
This day, of November 20 was, a
kind, so special because marking the entrance in Postulancy of 11 of our young
aspirants – Seminarians.

have made their official entrance
in Postulancy and entrusted to Rev. Fr. Stan Achi, FDP as Postulants-Master.
In his homily, Fr. Antonio
Eucinei De Souza, FDP, Coordinator of the Mission in the Philippines and
Superior of Payatas Community as given what Don Orione understand, talking
about Mary as Mother of Divine Providence. Asked about Providence and Mary’s
mission in the Divine Providence, Don Orione answered: “Providence is the
action of God which takes care of all things, and, by doing this, continually
creates and directs them, ordaining them towards their purpose. But Mary Most Holy, as she is co-redeemer,
also by that same Providential action directs and consoles the Church towards
her purpose and by her virtues supports our lives in their purpose. These are
the two points: the Providential action of Mary in the life of the Church; the
Providential example and help of Mary in our lives.”
This family day celebration was
attended by our religious brothers and Novices, our Sisters and many
parishioners who came to support and encourage our new Postulants in this step
in their formation and discernment.
It was also the chosen occasion
to celebrate the first “Orionight” for the Academic Year 2017-2018.
We wish to our new Postulants a blessed year of
discernment and good journey towards the Novitiate.
