#15: Don Orione in the streets of Gloria Vista and Millex.

May 16, 2004 – May 16, 2019, this marks 15 years that Don Luigi Giovanni Orione the Founder of the Little Work of Divine Providence and of the Little Missionary Sisters of Charity has been raised at the Glory of the Altar as Saint for the universal Church. From that moment, he is no longer a private property of his Congregations and of his spiritual sons and daughters. He belongs to the Church.
The Community of the Sons of Divine Providence, here in Montalban have seen in this celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of his canonization a way to make exposed him more and more to the people and mostly to those living in the surrounding of our Community.

This May 16, 2019 was a very special and colorful celebration here at Gloria Vista, San Rafael, Montalban. It started in the morning with the feast for the Children with our boys of the Cottolengo. More than 300 hundred boys and girls, accompanied by their parents attended the “Flores de Mayo” procession and Mass concelebrated by Father Julio and the confreres of Montalban.
In the afternoon, the whole community, seminarians, novices, religious and the faithful from the different apostolate area of the Sons of Divine Providence went in procession with the image of Don Orione, singing Hail Mary. That procession in the streets of Gloria Vista and Millex lead us to the Holy Eucharist at the honor of Saint Luigi Orione. Presided that Holy Eucharist, the newly appointed Parish Priest of Saint Raphael Parish, canonical jurisdiction of our Community, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey M. Santos. In his thanksgiving message, Fr. Jeffrey expressed his heart felt joy to have the Sons of Divine Providence in his Parish and their tireless support in the pastoral care of the Parish.
The Holy Eucharist opened us to a festive celebration, the Grand Orionight where seminarians, novices, sisters and youth and children made show of their talents, celebrating their Father, the one for whom youth are the great treasure of the Church, the Sun or storm of the future.
Viva Saint Luigi Orione and Happy Feast to all.
