Welcome to the Family!

Rev. Fr. Balibie Bamouni, fdp- or our Fr. Justin as we call him-  is a newly-ordained priest in our congregation.Together with our prayers as we acquainted him, we expressed our deep-seated appreciation to the workings of the Divine Providence around the world for the gift of vocations.Surely, the God of Harvest is always with us in ripping young men until such time that He will commission them in His vast vineyard.

It happened that Fr. Justin received the Presbyteral Ordination last month in his place and the announcement of the council invited him to be in the Philippines as his first assignment. He will then be the in-charge of the Professed Brothers in our congregation who are spending their remaining years in philosophy here in the seminary.

He celebrated his first mass as a main celebrant in Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel together with Fr. Stan and Fr. Stefan. We witnessed him officiating, chanting, and praying soundly, leading the people to God’s kingdom. After the Eucharistic celebration, the seminarians prepared a warm thanksgiving and acquaintance party for him in the seminary refectory. There we rendered lot of messages and songs as our welcome regards. Our superiors also expressed their welcome remarks to the new member of the community. Fr. Anthony reechoed his reflection when he was a newly ordained priest. Someone was saying to him that in every mass he will to celebrate, he will think as if it is the first mass in his priestly ministry. Fr. Justin ended the celebration with a thankful heart, reminding the seminarians and brothers to live freely.

The seminarians chorused a beautiful song, “Welcome to the Family”. We hope to unfold time joyfully with Fr. Stan and Fr. Justin who will be our guide and our mentor. Let us unite all things in Christ!
